Family Skinnydippers respects your privacy. We use the information we ask about you and your family during registration for
the operation of Family Skinnydippers. We do not sell your information to others or allow anyone else to see it, except that
certain information is made available to other Family Skinnydippers members as described below. Here is a description of
each piece of information we request, how we use it, and whether it's visible to anyone else.
User nameThis is the name by which everyone on Family Skinnydippers knows you and looks you up. By providing a user name for your identification, we are able to create an environment where you can communicate with others, but still remain anonymous until you decide to reveal your personal information to someone else.PasswordNo one but you knows your password. Not even we can look it up. It's stored in an encrypted form. If you forget your password, we cannot tell you what it is--we can only send a new one to your registered e-mail address. This approach provides the maximum security for passwords. No one from Family Skinnydippers will ever ask for your password. If anyone does, do not give it to them! City, state/province, country, sexThis information appears on your profile for all Family Skinnydippers members to see. This helps our community to get to know each other better.E-mail addressThis is kept confidential from everyone, but we use it to correspond with you on occasion. The first correspondence is to verify that your e-mail address is valid. This is one way to help avoid fraudulent registrations. Another possible correspondence we may send you is a new password if you've forgotten yours. We will not use your e-mail address to send you junk mail, and we won't share it with any other organization or with other Family Skinnydippers members. BirthdayYour birthday is used to calculate your age and keep it up to date. Your birthday does not appear on the Family Skinnydippers website unless you request to have it appear on the calendar. However, your age does appear on your profile.Relation to OwnerYour relationship to the owner of the family membership appears on your profile. This helps oour community get to know each other and our families.PhotosUploading of photos is entirely voluntary. If you upload them, they will be visible to all Family Skinnydippers members. Photos are encouraged, and are a great way to make Family Skinnydippers feel like a real community.Be aware, however, that your photos can also be downloaded by other members and used in any way they choose, even though our policy forbids this. We strongly recommend you do not upload any photos that you want to maintain control over. Before a photo becomes visible online, it must be approved by us after you upload it. To avoid legal complications, nudity is not allowed in photos. Payment by PayPalKeeping your credit card or bank information secure is a top priority with us. We have therefore decided to use PayPal as our exclusive method of payment.PayPal is owned by eBay and has a strong track record for reliability. We could never match the resources they have for keeping your payment information secure. If we tried, our expenses for maintaining the Family Skinnydippers website would increase. Instead, your entire payment transaction is done on PayPal's secure server. We don't store your financial information anywhere on our servers--we don't even see it. In addition to securing your financial information, using PayPal also provides a client protection policy. (See the PayPal website for information about this policy.) If you ever have a dispute with us about your payment, PayPal can mediate for you, and can provide a refund if the situation warrants it. We are happy to provide our members this protection through PayPal. Using PayPal also means you have great flexibility in method of payment. You can use a major credit card, funds drawn from your bank account, or funds stored in your PayPal account. For all these reasons--lower expenses, greater security, member protection, and greater flexibility in method of payment--we believe we can provide our members the maximum service by using PayPal for payment. We strongly recommend creating a PayPal account for yourself if you don't already have one. PayPal is a widely respected and accepted online method of payment among the Internet community. You'll find it convenient to use over and over for online transactions on many websites, yet you'll only need to keep your payment information on record at one trusted location. |
